Our Story
For well over 50 years, South Tulsa Smiles has cared for generations of families throughout Tulsa, Oklahoma. When Dr. Fields took ownership in 2020, he brought fresh energy while preserving the steady, personal care patients had come to value. That care remains grounded in listening, so you understand what is happening and why.
As the needs of the community have changed, the practice has grown with them. A comfort menu with sedation options and a resident therapy dog help make the chair less intimidating. Through special needs dentistry, patients receive the additional time and flexibility they require, allowing care to move at their pace instead of forcing them into a standard appointment.

The Dentist Who Gets It
Dr. Londel Fields
Long before he ever held a dental drill, Dr. Londel Fields was an engineer, building systems for Boeing and Lockheed Martin. Then his own tooth ached, quietly at first, then impossible to ignore. It took 18 months to uncover a hidden infection and repair it properly. That experience taught him exactly what it feels like to sit in the chair, unsure and waiting for answers.
At 27 years old, he left engineering to study dentistry at the University of Oklahoma, bringing that same precision with him. Today, he listens before he treats, and he explains before he acts. He continues learning through ongoing education in implants and restorative dentistry, because staying still was never really his style.
