For extreme tooth pain, rinse your mouth with warm water, gently floss to remove any lodged food, and apply a cold compress to the outside of your cheek if swelling occurs. Do not place aspirin directly on the gum tissue.

What do I do if I’ve knocked out a tooth?

If you’ve knocked out a tooth, gently pick it up by the crown (the chewing surface), avoid touching the root, and rinse it gently if dirty. If possible, try to reinsert it into the socket. If not, store it in milk or a tooth preservation kit. Time is critical. Reach out and come see us right away!
