Injectables for a “You, But Better” Look

Most people who take an interest in injectables aren’t looking for a new face. They just want their appearance to reflect the way they feel. Maybe a line between your brows makes you look annoyed when you’re perfectly fine, or your lips have thinned a little over the years. For some of our patients, the reason has nothing to do with looks at all. It’s a jaw that aches from clenching or headaches that keep coming back.

Our injectables work with the muscles and tissues of the face every day. Treatments are performed by April, our licensed injector, under the direct supervision of Dr. Fields. And every plan starts with a conversation about what you want to change and, just as important, what you want to keep.

How Injectable Fillers Can Help

Botox

Botox works by relaxing the specific muscles that create expression lines. The change is gradual, not sudden, and most of our patients see the full effect in 7 to 10 days. Because Botox relaxes overworked muscles, it may also help when the problem is discomfort rather than appearance.

Juvéderm Fillers

Where Botox relaxes muscles, filler adds back what time has taken away. Juvéderm fillers can restore volume, soften the look of lines, support facial balance, and add subtle definition to the lips, cheeks, chin, jawline, and under-eyes. Results are visible the same day, with some minor swelling at first.

Not sure which treatment fits? Start with what bothers you.

  • Lines that appear when you move your face (frowning, squinting, raising your brows) usually respond best to Botox.
  • Areas that look hollow, flat, or thinner than they used to are usually a job for filler.
  • A sore jaw, clenching, or tension headaches may be eased with Botox placed in the jaw muscles.

Still unsure? That’s what your consultation is for. Some patients benefit from one treatment, some from both, and some decide to wait.

Meet April Smith

April has spent nearly two decades as a dental hygienist and holds a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Her specialty has always been local anesthesia, which means she knows exactly how to make an injection as comfortable as possible. She expanded into facial aesthetics so she could offer patients everything from TMJ relief to subtle cosmetic refreshes.

Patients know April for explaining things clearly without overwhelming them. She’ll walk you through what each option can and can’t do, so you’re making the decision with full information.

Comfort Is Part of the Plan

Needles make plenty of people nervous, and we plan for that. Before treatment, April will talk through how your pain and any anxiety will be managed. Depending on what you need, that may include numbing with local anesthetic or nitrous oxide to help you relax.

1. We’ll Identify Your Goals

Tell us what you’d like to change, whether that’s a subtle softening or a more noticeable refresh. If something has bothered you for years, this is the place to say it.

2. Assess Your Options

April will explain which treatments fit your goal, what results you can realistically expect, and how long they typically take to appear.

3. Confirm the Plan

Before any treatment, April will mark the treatment areas on your face so you can see exactly where the product will go. Nothing happens until you agree with what you see.

4. Schedule Your Treatment

Once you’re comfortable with the plan, we’ll book your treatment and go over what to expect afterward.

Harmonize Your Inner And Outer Beauty

You don’t need a dramatic change to feel more confident. Sometimes a small adjustment is enough to stop you noticing the thing you’ve been noticing for years. Call our Tulsa office to schedule your consultation, and we’ll help you decide what makes sense for you.
